NURSE ASSISTANT/HOME
HEALTH AIDE (a)
Class enrollment limited to 12.
Learn the skills to provide appropriate care at the bedside and in the
chronic long-term nursing care environment. Develop hands-on skills to
prepare to take the State Certification test. Fee includes CPR, state
testing and materials: Gait belt, blood pressure cuff, and stethoscope.
Requires Basic English proficiency. Uniform and shoes not included.
The CNA Pretest/Orientation date is Thursday, September
4, 2008 & Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 10:00 am and 4:00 pm in Room 10 at
Alvarado Campus.
Call the office to make an appointment to orientation
(510) 215-4666. You must provide proof of current MMR, VSV, TB clearance,
social security number and a Good Health Statement from physician. This
program requires 200 hours.
