ORIENTATION PHASE I – ASSESSMENT (a)

All new GED
candidates must participate in Phase I.
This 12-hour course consists of assessing your skills to determine how well
prepared you are to take the GED exam. After you have completed all of the
assessments, the instructor will help you decide if you are ready to take
the GED or go to Phase II – GED Test Preparation. |

Esta clase es para aquellas personas que prefieren

GED TEST INFORMATION
|
Beginning January 2007, WCCAE will offer the GED test in Spanish. The GED
test in Spanish test will be administered on the same dates and times as
noted in the GED EXAM INFORMATION. The registration and testing procedures
are the same. The GED test has five parts of test. Note: A person may choose
to take only one test at each test administration. The cost is $15/test plus
State fees. Arrangements to take only one test can be made at registration. |

Register in
person at the Serra Campus. The registration process will take approximately
one hour. Proper identification is required. Enrollment deadline is 48 hours
prior to the test date provided there is space available. You will be
required to fill out a State Mandated survey and a registration form. We
strongly recommend taking at least 12 hours of GED TEST ORIENTATION prior to
taking the test.

Retakes
are $15 per test.
Beginning
January 2007, WCCAE will be giving the GED Exam in English and in Spanish.

Instructional Assistant Exam Review
and Test Preparation Classes

WCCAE is offering a test preparation class that focuses
on the District’s Instructional Assistant Exam and other placement tests.
The class focus will be on the three parts of the exam; language arts,
mathematics and pedagogy. LEAP is located at Civic Center, Richmond. The
room is on the second floor.

The Adult School will be administering the Instructional
Assistant Exam.
Participants must register for the test at the WCCUSD
Personnel Office,
1108 Bissell Ave., Richmond, 231-1168 (See RoseAnn
Gengler).
Testing Procedures:

Walk-ins will not be accepted;

Those testing must show Picture ID before entering
testing room.
