This program is designed to improve the efficiency of the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, as well as strengthen and tone the muscles and joints of the body. It is a three-part program that includes warm-ups, cardiovascular training, and a cool down. Exercises emphasize smooth, continuous and rhythmical movements. The 60-minute aerobic workout will leave you energized yet relaxed, and you will have FUN. Please bring an exercise mat. These classes are for adults of all ages.

Enrollment is limited to 20 students. Pilates is a non-impact exercise form that can be a springboard for further activity. In this class we will start by learning the fundamentals of pilates and move on to more challenging exercises.

DAYAN QIGONG  (a)    CLASS PAGE

Students will learn one of the most popular forms of Qigong used in China today. DaYan Qigong means the Wild Goose Form. This practice consists of 64 movements that flow from one movement into the next. In addition to learning the form, the students will learn a warm up set of exercises to increase flexibility and balance. Students are encouraged to "move at their own pace." Adaptations can be easily made for people with motor impairments or mobility concerns. Part A includes moves 1-32 of DaYan Qigong. Part B includes moves 33-64. Students who are taking Part B must have taken Part A to participate.
