A TASTE OF MOROCCO

Come to our make believe Kasbah for some exotic Moroccan food and a sense of the rituals that makes the meal special. We will pour warm water over your hands before you eat. With some bread you will scoop up some of the Moroccan Eggplant, Tabbouleh Salad, and Middle East Lamb Stew. You will also get to eat some Bestilla-phyllo dough stuffed with chicken and almonds and the top dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon. It is a fragrant treat exotic to Western tastes. We will finish up the meal with Baklava and honey mint tea. You will learn how to make all of these dishes in this four-hour class.

DIM SUM

Dim Sum is a unique culinary experience. It is a highly specialized kind of Chinese cooking. Dim Sum is generally served between 10:00am and 3:00pm. If you are ever invited for "tea" in Hong Kong you are really being invited for Dim Sum. The Dim Sum are generally small dumplings or pieces of meat that are fried or steamed. They can be salty or sweet. They make wonderful hors d'oeuvres.
