course, students practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking in
English.

English as a Second Language
(ESL)
Classes for adults who want
to learn English; beginning, intermediate, advanced and multi-level. |

English Literacy and Civics
(EL Civics) The
EL Civics Program is offered as part of - regular- ESL classes. The EL
Civics program helps adult ESL learners become more involved in their
communities and understand systems that make a community work, such as local
government, the school system and banking. Students do not need to be
citizens or working towards citizenship to participate in the EL Civics
classes. |

Citizenship
Obtain
your US citizenship. Learn about US -history, government and civics while
improving your English. Complete the USCIS Form N-400 and practice taking
the citizenship interview.
Classes meet Mondays and
Wednesdays, 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Richmond High School or Tuesdays and
Thursdays, 9:45 to 11:45 am at St. Mark's Church, 159 Harbour Way in
Richmond, or Saturday mornings at English Action Center, Grace Lutheran
Church, 2369 Barrett Ave. Richmond.

Community Based English Tutoring
(CBET) Parents,
grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other adults who want to help children read
and succeed in school are invited to join the CBET program. Students in this
program improve their English skills at the same time that they learn to
teach children. They receive free books to take home. Babysitting is
provided at the school for no fee for children ages 2 to 5. |

CIVICA DENTRO DEL INGLES
COMOSEGUNDO IDIOMA
Civica en Ingles se ofrece como
parte del programa Ingles como Segundo Idioma (ESL). Estas clases son para
adultos que quieran participar en sus comunidades y aprender sobre los
sistemas que hacen trabajar a una comunidad, tales como; cuidado de salud,
transito, escuelas y gobernacion. Para tomar esta clase los estudiantes no
necesitan ser ciudadanos o estar estudiando para su ciudadania. |

Obtenga su ciudadania. Aprenda historia, gobierno y civica. Practique su
Ingles. Llene la forma INS 400 y practique para el examen de ciudadania.
Las clases toman lugar los lunes y miercoles de 6:30-8:30 pm en la escuela
Richmond High School y martes y jueves de las 9:45-11:45 am en la Iglesia
San Marcos, 159 Harbour Way en la ciudad de Richmond y Sabado de 9:00
am-12:00 pm en Centro de Ingles en Accion, en la Iglesia Grace Lutheran,

Tutora de InglEs Basada en la
Comunidad (CBET)
Los
estudiantes en esta clase mejoran sus -habilidades en el Ingles al mismo
tiempo que aprenden ayudarles a los ninos con sus tareas academicas. Los
participantes reciben libros -gratuitamente para llevar a casa con el fin de
-promover la lectura en el ingles dentro del hogar. Se provee cuidado de
ninos sin costo unicamente para los ninos de los 2 a 5 anos de edad. Todo
adulto que quiera ayudarle a su hijo/a o un nino/a a leer y a triunfar en la
escuela esta -invitado a unirse al programa de CBET. |
