All Senior Classes limited to 15 students. Introduction to Computers for Seniors (a) Prerequisite: Mouse and Keyboarding. A survey course to introduce those who are new to the computer for home use. Covered will be hardware, software, and Internet for Windows. It offers hands-on experience for new computer users and a review for those with some computer experience.
Prerequisite: Introduction to Computers for Seniors. Learn the basics of the Windows operating system including Taskbar, Control Panel, Applications, and the basic functions you will need for all programs on the Windows platform.
THE BASICS OF BUYING ON EBAY FOR SENIORS (c) NEW! Class limited to 15 students. This informative workshop will have you buying on eBay with the confidence and knowledge of seasoned pros. Topics include: pricing, buying and the art of successful bidding. My eBay and other help, the importance of feedback ratings, opening and using a Paypal account, monitoring your listings, and completing transactions. This is not an on-line class. No Salesperson needed! This informative class will teach you how to shop for a new computer. This unique class covers all of the necessary information that you need to make a wise decision based on what your computer needs are. This is a two session class. The first classroom session consists of learning the names and the function of the various computer components and how to choose what you need. The following day, the student(s) go to computer stores and shop for the computer that they desire. At the second class meeting, the students will discuss the findings of their computer shopping safari and will hone their shopping skills. Printer selection will be discussed.

CREATING YOUR OWN WEBSITE using HTML (a) Prerequisite: Introduction to the Internet, Microsoft Word for Windows. This is a fast-paced course and requires a good understanding of how to use a PC as well as the internet Learn HTML, Hypertext Markup Language-a computer language used to create Internet Web pages-and how to design and create your own Web pages using HTML. Knowing how to properly use File Management operations is of great benefit for any computer user.
